WYSO Public Radio: Proud provider, community partner for the Greater Dayton region for almost 65 years.
With a unique offering in both music, news, and community generated storytelling, the organization has maintained the highest standards that has offered the community investigative reporting that is accountable and trustworthy, music programming that reflects the community’s diverse background, and community programs like Dayton Youth Radio that offers stories and perspectives from Southwestern Ohio high school students.
PB&J helped guide WYSO Public Radio for a new expansion plan with a media and communications plan that included expanding the reach of the organization’s frequency , community outreach, and news coverage for an expanded regional approach. This shift was representative of a desire to reflect the common threads between the people, places, and experiences that the greater Dayton region in an exciting time of great cultural, economic, and community connection.
WYSO Public Radio also announced a partnership with internationally renowned comedian and Yellow Springs resident Dave Chappelle and his company Iron Table Holdings, the real estate holding company to breathe new life into the village’s historic Union Schoolhouse originally built in 1872. Renovations to the schoolhouse will include an expansion of the ground and first floors which will be home to offices, studios, and a performance space for the public radio station and cement
